Peach Cluster Hat – Crochet Pattern – Crochet Cancer Challenge

This is my first year to participate in the Crochet Cancer Challenge hosted by Christine of Sweet Potato 3. This year’s hat is very close to my heart. I chose to design this hat in the peach color in honor of all the people who have experienced Uterine Cancer. It is a brand new crochet pattern. I designed my hat using We Crochet Brava Peach yarn since the ribbon color for Uterine Cancer is peach.

The Story behind the Peach Cluster Hat

When I thought about the hat to design for this challenge, I thought about my own history and how close I came to having Uterine Cancer. So for my first year participating as a designer, I wanted to design a hat with stitches I love to use. I love using Cluster stitches as well as Shell stitches.

A few years ago, I found out I had precancerous cells. The doctor informed me I had to have a hysterectomy. It was a very difficult time in my life especially since I was unable to conceive and carry a child to term. We have been so blessed with the gift of adoption but this has always been part of the cross I have to carry. I knew if I was going to be there for my children and my husband that I had to have the medical procedure done. This is why I chose to do this beautiful hat dedicated to uterine cancer. Today, I am a healthy homeschool mom of 2 children and a wife to a loving husband.

I love how the beautifully the hat turned out. I hope you enjoy this lovely cluster hat, which is made as an Adult Small You can always purchase the PDF in my Ravelry and Etsy Shops!

about the Crochet Cancer Challenge

It is easy to participate in this challenge. You make hats to donate to cancer patients and cancer survivors. This hat can be crocheted for almost anyone you know – a neighbor, a friend, a family member, a co-worker, your child’s teacher, or someone you don’t even know.

You can also make one or many to donate to a local cancer center of your choosing. If you download the pattern or any of the other patterns included in the challenge, you are promising/committing to make at least one each to donate.
